For us, ‘passionate’ means that we devote ourselves wholeheartedly to a task. We remain focused on our small but select client portfolio and the specialities that fill us with enthusiasm. We are pleasure seekers and are delighted when our passion spills over to the people we deal with.

For us, ‘agile’ means that we act flexibly, but never carelessly. We are a manageable size, our employees are approachable and highly skilled, and we are close to our clients. This allows us to adapt to new requirements quickly, but always in a well-thought-out manner. We are constantly on the move and evolving before the market forces us to. What's our secret? Switzerland

Luxury couvertures, such as those we produce with passion at Felchlin, are the culmination of everything that makes us that bit better. We combine Swiss tradition with painstaking craftsmanship and in-depth knowledge of how cacao is processed. Central Switzerland is not only home to Felchlin, but also to the local ingredients that find their way into our couvertures.

Swiss tradition, Craftsmanship and Expertise

For more than a hundred years, we have been processing cacao in our factory according to traditional, time-honoured principles and using the finest local ingredients. We are utterly devoted to producing the finest couvertures using time-honoured methods. However, it is equally important for us to look ahead and to offer targeted and individualised training that fosters the know-how of our 150 employees. Doing so achieves the optimal combination of traditional craftsmanship, profound expertise and forward-looking philosophy and practice.

Located in Central Switzerland

Felchlin's company headquarters and chocolate factory are located in Ibach-Schwyz, in the heart of Switzerland. Situated directly in front of the Alps and surrounded by numerous lakes, the foundation stone for the production of the highest quality couverture was laid here more than a century ago.

Local Products

As well as the award-winning dark exquisite couvertures, milk couvertures are among Felchlin's specialities. The rich biodiversity in our region, with its lush meadows and Alps where the cows graze, the crystal-clear mountain water and over a hundred different varieties of herbs, contribute to the unique quality of Swiss milk. And it is only this milk that we use for our couvertures.

Ethics

Max Felchlin AG is committed to fulfilling the guiding principles from the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights and the relevant conventions and principles issued by the United Nations (UN), The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), as well as orienteering its dealings in accordance with the principles of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). Felchlin lives its Fair Direct Cacao guidelines to combat child labour and unfair working conditions from the source to its production in Ibach, Switzerland. By initiating projects such as health cover for cacao farmers and their families, support for school material and many others, Felchlin is active in the areas where it sources its primary raw materials. Switzerland has strict working laws. Nevertheless, Felchlin has set aims to ensure fair wages for all employees, regardless of gender, equal employment for all including protected working places for impaired employees. Felchlin also encourages further education and offers both financial and time support. We respect the rights of all individuals, independent of their territory, and do not tolerate corrupt or abusive behaviour along our supply chain. To cement our commitment Max Felchlin is currently a member of SEDEX and holds the silver rating for EcoVadis.
