Journey to the origin - Ghana

In line with our Felchlin Cacao Sélection guidelines, a Felchlin team led by CEO Christian Aschwanden visited our partners KOA and Yayra Glover as well as cocoa farmers in Ghana last week together with customers.

Special thanks to KOA impact for their hospitality and the fascinating insights into the production of KOA cocoa fruit juice, which at Felchlin is one of the only two ingredients used in the unique cocoa fruit couverture.

The subsequent visit to Yayra Glover Ltd., our origin partner in Ghana, was also very impressive to see the progress that has been made here, especially in the area of digitalisation and in raising the awareness about sustainability and health amongst employees and their families

Afterwards, our team visited a health centre and has Elucid show them how the Elucid case managers record cases of illness. We were also able to be present during the distribution of insurance cards to newly insured people. In personal exchanges with those present, we were able to personally convince ourselves of the success of this commitment and we hope that we will soon be able to extend this great project to other regions of origin.
